New York Fashion Week: my favourites

It was raining this morning in Milan, but if you are thinking that the summer is over, then you have to think again. In just a few days in fact the spring summer collections 2012 by the world’s most exciting designers will be presented on the city’s runways. Milan Fashion Week will start on Wednesday 21st September, and until the 27th the city will be sparkling with the presence of models, designers, and celebrities.

While London Fashion Week is still on, the show in New York closed few days ago. What did you think about it?

Victoria Beckham

I liked the very minimal yet feminine collection Victoria Beckham presented in NY, accessorized with beautiful Laboutin shoes especially made for her…this sandals up here are to die for, absolutely!

Carolina Herrera

I really love the way Carolina Herrera used geometrical motives in her collection also presented in New York. These ‘total white’ dresses are incredibly elegant, sophisticated and glamorous.

DKNY

DKNY inspiration for the designs seen in NY has a tribal vibe. The colors she used for this collection are black, brown and ochre, mixed in graphic, bold prints, and used on shapes that are sinuous and feminine.

Tommy Hilfiger

Very colorful is the ‘pop and preppy’ collection for next summer by Hilfiger.

Marc Jacobs

Even Marc Jacobs collection was very colorful, still following the color block trend that has been so popular this year.

United Bamboo

Last but not least amongst this selection of designers, I really liked United Bamboo, with the minimal, fresh, but at the same time ‘très chic’ look of their collection. So…what are your favourites from NY Fashion Week?
